Ephestus, lord, you who are the guide of the Gods who live above the sky,
both the Olympus’ and the Tartarus’ gods,
after Poseidon of wide majesty,
you assign to everyone his dominion and place,
you who are the cause for the whole of being itself
and bring to everyone what is most eternal,
and so Poseidon himself does, because of his father’s decisions;
you keep watch on us too and let us, being born,
to stay always on the way of good acting.
